Writing Resume in XML

Writing Resume in XMLIf you're searching for a fast and easy way to create a resume in XML you've come to the right place. There are many different reasons that people will want to do this including the fact that they are hiring a new position, they are applying for a job on their own, or they are hiring someone for an outside job that requires knowledge of XML. Once you've decided that it's a good idea to create a resume in XML make sure you have all of the necessary information before you begin. The first thing you should do is make sure you have true information. Unless you have specific knowledge in this field, you should have some basic knowledge on what this industry is all about. The vast majority of resumes in XML are automatically generated, so they don't take very long to do. While it's possible to manually create a resume in XML, you'll be wasting your time as well as the person who're going to be creating it.The next thing you should consider doing is writing a document th at explains what you want. This is very important as it will eliminate a lot of the guesswork that comes with creating a resume in XML. You will also have the option of saving the document for a future date so that you can use it whenever you want to.It's also a good idea to choose a style needs to be a consistent one. This means that you should always have the same font style throughout the document. If you want to make sure you will always have a consistent look on the resume make sure you choose a font that has no gaps or special characters that won't work. The next thing you will want to consider doing is creating a document that makes use of graphics. Most people will choose to use graphics such as charts and graphs but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't do so. It just means that you will want to be careful with the layout. This will help make your resume more readable as well as appealing to the reader.Another thing you will want to do is put your best foot forward by using cle ar, concise language when you're talking about the positions you're interested in. Avoid writing information overload or stating your qualifications in a way that sounds like it was taken from a dissertation. These types of things will keep the reader's attention off of you, so if you want to get the attention of the person reading your resume it's important to use words that will grab their attention.Lastly, you will want to remember that it takes people a long time to develop a resume in XML so you will want to put in the time to make sure you have a good experience when it comes to your work. That means that you should create a resume in XML that is up to date as well as current on the positions you're looking for. While you can't please everyone all the time, it will certainly be worthwhile if you want to make the most of your resume in XML creation. If you need to write a resume in XML remember that you will need to make sure you have all of the information that's needed. If you go over the basics in this manner then the rest of the document should be quite simple to produce.

Are You Doing These Things to Stay Healthy You Should be!

Are You Doing These Things to Stay Healthy You Should be! Staying healthy is something everybody should aim to do. If you want to live a long, happy life then staying healthy will help you to do that. If you don’t bother exercising, getting checked out or taking care of your mental health, you put yourself at risk of getting poorly. You might feel in brilliant health right now, but if you’re being careless your health could very well deteriorate over time. Everybody thinks it won’t happen to them, but it could happen. By making the effort to stay healthy, you’ll look and feel so much better. You’ll enjoy a longer life, and you’ll have a better quality of life. Here are some things you should be doing: Eating Vitamin and Nutrient Rich Foods The foods you eat will play a big part in how healthy you are. It’s not always about how much you eat or how many calories you consume, but the quality of the foods you eat. You must eat vitamin and nutrient rich foods to stay as healthy as possible. This means plenty of fruit and vegetables, as well as things like nuts. You could also take supplements to make sure you’re getting everything you need. Just bear in mind that supplements will not replace healthy foods in your diet, they should simply enhance and add to your diet. Your diet should be made up predominately of these foods to have a positive effect on you. Make sure you’re getting fibrous and leafy greens such as broccoli and kale. Make sure you’re eating fruits, especially berries. Everything you eat should be minimally processed with very little ingredients. If something is packaged or has a long ingredients list, then it probably isn’t great. Eating fresh, natural foods is the way forward. It’s more expensive than eating junk food, but you can’t put a price on your health! Drinking Lots of Water Water is one of the key elements to staying healthy. Not only will drinking plenty of water keep you hydrated, it’ll energize you and flush the body of toxins. You’ll also find that by drinking lots of water, you stay fuller for longer. This means you won’t eat when you’re not hungry, leading to excess weight gain. You should drink at least 2 litres of water a day. If you exercise then you will want to consume more. Try to stay away from drinking things like pop and juice. If you want flavour, add some fruit to your water! Lemon water is especially detoxifying. Drinking too much caffeine is a bad idea, so keep it to a minimum. Water should be your main drink, rather than calorific and even diet beverages. Watching Your Intake of Junk You can have treats from time to time. Of course you can; what would life be if you couldn’t have treats?! However, you should watch your intake. Don’t kid yourself about how much rubbish you’re actually consuming. If you’re going to eat processed, sugary, fatty foods then make sure you’re only doing it once or twice a week. Maybe allow yourself one really naughty meal and make sure the rest are made up of whole foods! Making sure you don’t tip the balance is really important. Exercising and Staying Active Humans were supposed to stay active. Many lead sedentary lifestyles these days. They work in an office and say they don’t have time to go to the gym. However, exercise is usually just not a priority to them. Even just walking for a short time each day can help. The more you stay active now, the healthier and more mobile you’ll be in the future. If you can get a sweat on a few times a week, that’s even better. Try doing a cardio based class if you hate running, as well as resistance training so you’re getting a mix of everything. Health should be your main goal, but you can have goals on top of that. For example, muscle building/fat loss. Getting Enough Rest Getting rest is important too. If you’re on the other end of the spectrum and love going to the gym, then make sure you get your rest days in. Have one or two full rest days a week to allow your body to recover. You’ll be able to work harder in the rest of your workouts this way, and you won’t overtrain your body or make yourself ill. If you absolutely must get active each day, make sure you’re gentler on yourself one or two days a week. Maybe take a gentle walk or swim, which is low impact for the bones and joints. Getting Plenty of Sleep As well as rest, you need plenty of sleep too. If you can manage to go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, you should get yourself into a really good routine. Many people sleep in on the weekend, but doing this can mess up your body clock. You won’t feel the need to sleep in if you get yourself into a good routine. Sleep is essential for health and performing properly throughout the day! Everybody needs different amounts, but 8 hours is usually a good amount to go for. To make sure you get a good quality of sleep, stay away from electronics a few hours before bed. Avoid caffeine and exercise too close to bedtime too! Having Checkups Regularly Having check ups to make sure you’re in good health could be a good idea. Sometimes, just having a check up even though there’s nothing obviously wrong is a good idea. This will help you to catch anything early on before it gets too serious if there is an issue. It’ll also give you peace of mind. One of the great things about modern medicine is that you can now use telemedicine. What is telemedicine? Something that allows you to have check ups using the internet, keeping you away from other contagious patients.  There are other benefits too, such as no travel expenses! Staying Clean Bathing regularly, washing your hands, and keeping your home clean are really important things to do for your health too. If you don’t make the effort to stay clean, you could spread bacteria, making yourself and others poorly. Make sure you’re hygienic! Paying Attention to Your Mind Keeping your mind healthy is just as important as keeping everywhere else healthy. You should pay attention to your thoughts and how you feel to get a good idea of what shape your mind is in. Everybody can benefit from meditation and positive thinking! It can be a difficult habit to get into, but extremely beneficial once you’ve done it. Listening to Your Body Listen to your body and it should give you a few clues when it comes to how healthy you are. Are you worn out? Aching? Then you should get some rest and de-stress. Taking care of yourself is a must if you want to stay healthy. Spending Time in Nature Fresh air and sunlight are two key things for both mental and physical health. Make sure you spend time in nature where you can, even if it’s for only 10 minutes. Take yourself out for a walk and not only will you get that vitamin c and fresh air, you’ll get a bunch of endorphins too. Avoiding Bad Habits Avoid bad habits and get rid of any you have now that could be affecting your health. Do you smoke? Drink too much? Take drugs? All of these habits can have horrible effects on your body. You don’t need to recover alone: there are plenty of support groups out there you can go to if you feel like you need help. It’ll be really hard at first, but getting rid of any bad habits you have will be so worth it in the long run. Manage Your Weight Managing your weight is always best done by eating a healthy diet and getting exercise. This doesn’t mean starving yourself on nothing but vegetables and running for miles every day. Eating well and exercise should be enjoyable so you actually stick to it! If you’re overweight, then you’ll need a program that has been given the OK by a doctor. If you’re underweight, you may need a different kind of plan to get you to a healthy weight. Once you’re at your ideal weight, it’s all about maintenance. You can’t just go back to the way you were before, or you’ll have to start all over again. Make healthy changes you can stick to and you’ll benefit. If you’re doing all of the things in this guide for your health, then you will stay healthy and happy in the long run. You can’t always stop yourself from getting ill, but you can give yourself the absolute best chance of health. Get into the habit of doing them and you should notice a huge difference. Want to Build Agility Your Organization Needs to Be Doing This Marla Gottschalk

Want to Build Agility Your Organization Needs to Be Doing This Marla Gottschalk Please note: I am re-sharing this post with updated links. In 2010, Gartner published a fascinating list of how the world of work may change going forward. All of the ideas posed were intriguing (and on target). However, one idea in particular â€" the concept of a work swarm caught my attention. Whether the dynamic is discussed as The Hollywood Model or simply hyper-responsive cross-functional teaming, the ability to quickly collect contributors to solve evolving issues or opportunities is vital. (More on a why cross-functional teams might eventually fail here.) Borrowed from nature, Gartner describes a work swarm as a “flurry of collective activity” to deal with non-routine issues and opportunities. The concept implies expressed agility (See a PDRIs ARA Model here) â€" and we can easily apply this idea to how organizations deal with emerging/evolving challenges. Moreover, the ability to “swarm and quickly assemble cross-functional teams to problem solve, could be viewed as a key marker with regard to an organizations potential to remain sustainable. Without this ability, organizations may fall short when responding to both internal stress and the changing demands of the external environment. Stretching Organizational Structure Removing obstacles to implement swarming can prove to be a challenge for many organizations. One problem in applying the concept, is that we often view the structure of an organization as inflexible. To utilize swarming, the structure of an organization would have to be consistently viewed as more fluid and changeable. Talent would be allowed to cross functional lines more routinely, exposing key issues to a more varied group of experts. This would potentially improve organizational problem solving capabilities. Work swarming also requires effective communication internally, concerning challenges and potential team members. So even before the swarm, the organizations must be prepared. For example, one key issue facilitating work swarming is capturing and communicating the skill sets of those within the organization. Moreover, employees would require up to date information concerning current projects and challenges, so they have the opportunity to contribute. Interestingly enough, innovators such as Jostle are beginning to develop tools to effectively manage this information within organizations. These products are interesting applications, which curate data to document information concerning current roles, team membership and areas of expertise. Platforms such as InnoCentive, have facilitated communication of key challenges, in an outward-facing way â€"   whereby stubborn organizational challenges are posted and can be solved by experts in the external environment. A clever application of crowd sourcing, even the most stubborn of problems can find new chances for resolution. However, this same idea could be utilized internally. Change will open the door to opportunities Organizational leaders may fear that implementing work swarming techniques would prove too difficult, as the process would initially involve a mindset shift concerning structure. Others may feel that if an organization is large â€" it is just too cumbersome to keep a tally of the skill sets of those employed there. However, I encourage steps in this direction. Overall, these fears would never be a strong enough excuse to miss key opportunities to excel. Dr. Marla Gottschalk is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist. Objective Writing - How to Write a Resume With Objective Writing

Objective Writing - How to Write a Resume With Objective WritingObjective writing is an important part of your resume. You need to know how to write an objective properly. In resume, the most important part is the objective. Writing a resume that has a good objective is what matters. To get a job you have to convince a potential employer that you have the skills and knowledge to make the job offer. The goal of the resume is to persuade the employer to consider you for the job. A resume with a good objective is one of the best ways to accomplish this. It is important to remember that when you are looking for a job, it is not enough that you have a good objective. When you are writing your resume you should consider who your target market is. If you are looking for a job in an IT field, your objective should be aimed at IT specialists. Your objective may include skills related to management or sales. It is important to identify your target market so that you can come up with the best poss ible resume. After writing the objective, you can begin to write the first paragraph. The first paragraph will introduce the organization you are applying for. In most cases, the objective will not be long enough to outline why you are applying for the job. The first paragraph should give enough information about yourself to make the reader know that you are the right candidate for the job. A professional resume writer can help you write the first paragraph well. The second paragraph describes your skills as a candidate. This paragraph is usually longer than the first paragraph because it gives a detailed description of your skills. A professional resume writer can help you avoid committing the common mistake of giving vague descriptions. The third paragraph is the meat of the resume and the objective. This paragraph usually covers how well you apply yourself and other aspects that are important to the job. It is important to include your professional goals for the job. Another importa nt thing to include in the objective is your intention to join the organization. This is a way to connect your skills and experience to the organization. After finishing your resume, be sure to take a moment to examine the style and tone of the resume. Your objective needs to tell the reader what your skills are, where you want to work, and what you hope to achieve. It is important to take time to focus on the details of your resume so that it flows correctly.

Veterans How to Avoid 5 Fatal Job Fair Mistakes- Career Enlightenment

Which demonstrates more effort? Simply putting on a service dress uniform or donning an interview-ready suit? Believe it or not, I see many candidates treat the job fair as some type of marginal event where they think a uniform or slacks and a shirt are “good enough.” The lesson here is that I ALWAYS remember the candidates with the polished,  professional image.Another reason not to wear the uniform is that  it allows the prospective employer to disqualify you before even hearing your elevator speech. Recruiters who are fellow veterans can immediately tell by looking at your uniform whether or not you’re retiring, how much salary you’re currently making (i.e., whether they can afford you or not), and some have even said it creates doubt as to whether or not you’re truly ready to hang the uniform up.4. You Sound Like the Other 200+ People I Spoke with TodayA very good friend of mine is also a recruiter. I walked up to her once during a job fair we were both attending, and h er immediate response was, “How can I help you?” She’d become so “punch drunk” by the hundreds of job seekers who’d walked up to her that day that she barely recognized me by the time I stopped by.If your approach is along the lines of, “Here’s my degree and my military experience; nowyou  figure out if I’m a good fit (then hire  and  train me),” you’re in effect saying “me, me, me” all day long. (Hint: This is NOT a good thing.)Now, I know firsthand, having facilitated the  Transition GPS Course, that the instructors explicitly stress that  this “me, me, me” technique is the worst way to work a job fair. But I guess the vast majority of graduates think they don’t have to give much thought about how to differentiate themselves from the  standard job seeker. How do you accomplish this? You can do this by extending your hand, giving a firm handshake and telling me your name. Then ask mine. Then ask me briefly what my actual position is with the company, as I may not even be a recruiter. Once that’s out of the way, acknowledge the fact that my time is precious, hit me with your 10-second elevator speech and ask if your skills are a match for my company. (Which should be “yes,” if you’ve done your homework and identified the companies that are a good fit for you.)If you’re told “no” or “apply on our website,” don’t take offense; it effectively gives you honest feedback that you haven’t stimulated enough interest.Instead, ask the person what type of folks the company typically hires, so that if you have any sharp people in your network, you can refer them. Trust me, the quickest way to stay in a recruiter’s or hiring decision-maker’s mind is to send exceptional candidates their way. Once your conversation has ended, thank them graciously with a smile, ask if they have a business card and determine if it’s OK to email them.Once you leave the job fair with all of your new contacts, email each of them and use the subject line “Thanks…and a cup of coffee?” Thank them in your message for the time they took to speak with you, and offer to meet in future to learn more about what they do and the company.  I can tell you that 95% of the people at job fairs will not do this. But you should also take it a step further. In the email, note that you saw the person’s LinkedIn profile and ask if it’s OK to connect with them on there. You can also look that person up on Twitter and start following them (if they have a professional profile). Because two out of three job seekers are  effectively using all three big social media  sites to find their next job, many less-qualified people are getting hired as a result of more-qualified candidates still stuck in the “resume cover letter” age.Just by adding one person, such as me, to your network, you’ve increased your professional contacts by over one million connections. (Connect with me now, and let me know that you read this post.)5. You†™re Downright Scared to Talk SalaryHopefully, you already have an idea of  what you need to know about salary  and are prepared to have some answers when asked. You may try deflecting or redirecting when I ask you “How much are you looking to make?” by saying something along the lines of “I’m more interested in learning more about the job…” But understand that you’re essentially speed dating at the job fair. Most companies are aware of their current needs and have to determine whether or not you’re going to be a match for those positions in terms of skills, location  and  salary.Your answer to the salary question shows us how prepared you are, because it shows you understand  the norms  for the company or the industry and location. I often chuckle inside when I ask the money question and a job seeker’s answer has nothing to do with the position’s range, but is strictly in tune with what that person is making in terms of their military salary. Once again, the fatal ly flawed thinking of “me, me, me.”Just like the popular dating sites out there, we recruiters are truly trying to match you up with your skills, location and salary preferences to create a win-win situation. But understand that, at the end of the day, all of us are specialists looking to fill very specific positions, so don’t get annoyed or frustrated if there isn’t a match. Instead, say to yourself, “There isn’t a match today,” and  use it to your advantage by making us your wingman. That way, if we do come across someone who’s looking for a candidate with your background, you’re the first person we think of.One Final Thought and SuggestionRemember when I told you not to bring a resume to a job fair?  Well, if after your elevator speech and subsequent conversation you’ve really connected with us and we ask you for it, offer to email it to us recruiters. Better yet, for hiring decision-makers, send it via FedEx or UPS with tracking, then call about 30 minutes af ter you get the delivery notification.  That’s  how you leave a game-changing and job-creating impression.Have your eyes been opened to any job fair mistakes you’ve been making? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
